The man who holds the helm of Aresenal Arsene Wenger has revealed he wants to sign a new deal at the club and end his career with the Gunners.

Wenger has been at the in charge of the gunners since 1996 but after eight years without a trophy and failure in the transfer market, there were talks  that he would leave at the end of the season after his deal expired.

However, there has been hope in Arsenal since their open day defeat to Aston Villa with the club winning all their games since as well as signing superstar Mesut Özil from Real Madrid.

Wenger has turned from zero to hero in the space of a month with his side top of the Premier League and has now decided to pen a new contract with the board’s backing a major factor.

I would love to be here forever because that would make me immortal. I love this club. I’ve turned down many offers. I’ve always thought this club is special. We have a team now that can compete and that’s what we want to show.”

“If I am still here today it is because I got that consistent support from inside the club. The good thing with me, if I have one quality, [it is that] you don’t need a lot of talks to extend the contract I have.”

Wenger had previously put his future on the success of this season but feels his time at Arsenal is not yet up with his side in such good form.

“I want to focus on the quality of our season. I don’t believe that anybody can question my commitment to this club. I want to feel that I do well and then the question of me staying will be secondary after that.
