Following the start of the biggest football event in the world; the World Cup, taking place in Brazil, A lot of expectations have been shifted on various Arsenal stars currently featuring at the Competition as well as the loads of players being linked with a move to
the Emirates.

Now Arsenal are poised to make a £27million offer for Mario Balotelli after manager Arsene Wenger reportedly gave the green light to the transfer.

It comes as news that will excite fans of the Premier League outfit, but could raise concerns for some Gooners as Balotelli’s reputation goes before him.

Balotelli has been strongly linked with a switch to Arsenal in recent weeks, with the Gunners in desperate need of a world-class striker for next season.

Wenger had seemed to privately rule it out a fortnight ago, fearing his attitude could ruin the dressing room, but has now apparently warmed to the idea.

And reports in Italy say Arsenal are poised to make an offer of about £27million in the coming days following reports that the 23-year-old has been told he can leave AC as new manager Filippo Inzaghi looks to the future.

Arsenal signed a mega-money kit deal with Puma last season, which has come into effect this year.

Puma also have a deal with Balotelli and it is being reported that the kit manufacturer may be willing to help finance the deal to bring the striker to the Emirates.

However, Balotelli has also been linked with Chelsea in recent months but it’s thought that Arsenal are in pole position to sign him if a fee can be agreed with Milan.

Arsenal are in search of a top class striker in the summer to support lone forward Olivier Giroud in the forth coming season and have thus been linked with a handful of other striker targets.
