Arsenal’s delve in the upcoming transfer window seems to be taking a rather speedy fashion as there are reports that the Gunners are set to re-unite Barcelona’s Pedro with Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal have moved quickly ahead of the summer transfer window with fresh reports according to Fichajes.net, that Arsenal have moved a step closer to completing the transfer of Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez.
Arsenal have tabled an offer for the Spaniard and are awaiting the response.
The report says Manchester United and Inter Milan have also put offers on the table for the Spaniard who has reportedly handed in a transfer request to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
Wenger had moved for the Spanish International last summer window but a deal was finally called off, shifting his attention to Alexis.
The Chilean’s influence in the team has been nothing short of staggering. He’s been virtually the one carrying the team all on his own and giving we can’t keep all our eggs in one basket, Wenger surely must be on the lookout for another player of similar energy to Alexis.
It cannot be said that Pedro has past his best days having been part of the Guardiola team who dominated club football during his time at Barcelona.
He still has a lot of football in him and his pace and finishing ability would still prove vital for us. Like Fabregas and Alexis, Pedro may be looking forward to a move to the Premier League for a new challenge to re-discover the joy of football, and what better place than at the Emirates.
