Agent of Benfica star Talisca has downplayed a move to Atletico Madrid but hasn’t ruled out a move to a big club this summer.
According to reports earlier this week, Atletico were ready to match Talisca’s £18million buy-out fee.
Although, Talisca’s agent, Jesse Davi, has suggested he is likely to remain in Lisbon for at least one more season.
Davi claims, however, that the door remains slightly open for a ‘big club’ to make an offer.
He said: “There’s nothing concrete. We’ve had internal talks with Benfica, but there are no offers for him.
“In principle Talisca will return to Benfica. He has just gotten married and is on honeymoon. He isn’t thinking about this now.
“Talisca is happy at Benfica, he loves the club and fans. If there’s an offer from a big club which pleases everyone we’ll see.”
The young Brazilian star has been attracting the pursuit of three of England’s biggest clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in recent months.
The Benfica striker made the best start by any foreign player to the Portuguese League, with 6 goals in 7 games, creating a scramble amongst top clubs for his signature very early in the season.
Talisca has been one of the sensations of the early season, despite this just being his debut season, having joined from home club Bahia in last summer.
He wasted no time in endearing himself to the Benfica faithful, scoring on his debut and Wenger has since then monitored his progress closely sending scouts on several occasion to watch the sensational forward in action.
