Arsenal have pulled-off a major summer transfer signing if reports that former Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain is 90% certain to join Arsenal are to be believed.

Long time Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain has been tipped to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium and not Old Trafford this summer.

Both rival clubs have been heavily linked with the Argentine striker and former Napoli star Jose Alberti believes the sensational hitman will join Arsenal rather than Manchester United.

When asked which English clubs Higuain could join, Alberti told media outlet Calcio Napoli 24: “Mourinho didn’t play him, so I don’t think he would go to Chelsea.

“In my opinion, I’m 90% sure he will go to Arsenal. It could be a minimum of €5million [a year].

“It is not possible that a player like him wants to remain at Napoli this year after missing out on the Champions League.”

This report is coming after earlier claimed the Gunners have tabled a bid for the 27-year-old star.

With over 25 goals and 10 assists this season, Arsenal fans can be sure of a proven striker within their ranks if Higuain eventually completes the switch.
