Arsenal, going into the summer transfer window are keen on bringing in nothing but the best; but then, they may also lose some of theirs with reports of Arsenal ace Lukas Podolski already talking up a move to Turkey this summer.
Podolski has been on the fringe at Arsenal over the last two seasons after falling down the pecking order of Arsene Wenger’s side.
The 30-year-old was shipped out on loan in January to Serie A side Inter Milan where he failed to make an impact, with the club deciding against making the move permanent.
Podolski fully aware of his chances at Arsenal looking bleak; admits that a move to Turkey is something that could appeal.
“If an offer comes from Turkey, I will sit down and talk about it with my family and girlfriend,” Podolski said.
“If I find the right club, the right coach, the right environment, I will evaluate it.
“If these conditions are met, I think everything is possible.”
“The next transfer could be my last, so I have to take a well-thought step.”
The Germany international in a recent interview, poured cold water on rumours of offers from Werder Bremen for him, insisting he will see out his contract at Arsenal “if needs be”.
“There’s bound to be speculation in the coming weeks, but at the moment it looks like I will be going back to London,” Podolski said.
“Things can always change, but if needs be I will remain at Arsenal next season. They are a great club and I think I can help them. I can confirm there has been no interest from Werder Bremen.”
