A Premier League outfit is reportedly keen on snapping up out-of-favour Arsenal star this summer.
This report is according to Daily Star, who claim that Germany international Lukas Podolski has been lined up by the Blues for a shock signing this summer.
The report say Everton are plotting a transfer move for out-of-favour Arsenal forward Podolski.
The Toffees have been put on red alert after learning the World Cup winner is set to leave the Gunners.
The 30-year-old German attacker has been told by Arsene Wenger that he is free to leave the club.
Podolski does not feature in Wenger’s plans and is searching for a new club, according to the Star.
Roberto Martinez is willing to give the German a chance at Goodison Park and could make a move, with sources saying the deal could be done as quickly as next week.
The £90,000-a-week star has also been linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray and German side Werder Bremen in recent weeks.
