Arsenal are known for signing French talent from Ligue 1. Recent years has seen them sign Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny. Who could be the next Ligue 1 player/players to make their switch to the Emirates Stadium?
Just weeks until the summer transfer window opens, it’s that time of year where every club is linked with almost every possible player.
With the Euro 2016 Championship taking place in France next year, here are five players from Ligue 1 that would make an impact if signed by Arsenal.
Finishing in second, just eight points behind Paris Saint-Germain, Lacazette has propelled Lyon back where they belong, challenging for the title.
With 27 goals in 33 appearances, it’s clear to see why many clubs have been linked with signing the 24-year old, who has featured seven times for Les Blues.
A versatile forward, the Frenchman can play on either wing, or as the main striker. Different to Olivier Giroud, Lacazette offers pace behind the defence with a trick or two, as well as an eye for goal.
Wenger would have to splash the cash to land this man as he is valued at around £40million pounds. However, it is believed that a bid in the region of £35mllion could force Lyon into selling.

Another product of Lyon’s runners-up season, Fekir, 21, has formed a formidable partnership with Lacazette, playing just behind the Frenchman.
With 34 appearances in Ligue 1, Fekir has assisted 12 goals, as well as netting 13 goals in the process, having also scored two goals in the Coupe de France.
An attacking midfielder with a low centre of gravity, it’s extremely difficult to get the ball off this clearly talented youngster. Already capped with the national team, Fekir has already found the net, in a 4-2 victory over Belgium.
Again, Wenger would clearly need to splash the cash to land this star as Lyon see him as invaluable to their current side, and so he would cost the Gunners a fee in the region of £25million.

Not the first time Wenger has been linked with a move for this powerful French midfielder. Arsenal were interested in Kondogbia when he impressed for Sevilla during the 2012/13 season.
Also linked with AC Milan, the Gunners will have to swoop fast for this defensive midfielder, perhaps their answer for a Premier League trophy.
Scoring against Arsenal in the Champions League, Kondogbia helped AS Monaco advance, before putting in an impressive performance against Juventus.
Despite looking clunky, the 22-year old is great with both feet, whilst he can pick a pass, or put in a commanding challenge.
The Gunners have reportedly tabled an £18.4million bid for Kondogbia, but report says the principality club are holding out for a fee believed to be in the region of £24.6million.
