Arsenal make contact with BVB for Sven Bender
Arsenal have returned for long time target according to reports emanating from Germany.
The Gunners are being linked yet again with a move for one of the Bender brothers Sven.
This report is according to popular German media outlet Blid, who claim the midfielder, believes he can pick up more than the £41,000-a-week he currently earns at Signal Iduna Park if he moves away this summer.
Despite the resurgence of Francis Coquelin in recent times, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, it would appear, remains keen to bolster his defensive midfield options at the Emirates.
The report also suggests Bender and Arsenal officials ‘have been in contact’ about a potential switch.
Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the Bender brothers, with Wenger a keen admirer of the duo, especially Lars.
Arsenal however, would not be left without a fight to sign the 26-year-old Borussia Dortmund defensive midfield enforcer, with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Southampton also understood to be keen on the services of the German.
