Arsenal are known for signing French talent from Ligue 1. Recent years has seen them sign Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and new signing Jeff Reine-Adelaide.
According to reports, Arsenal boss Arsene wenger has confirmed new signings will be part of his first team line-up this seasons pre-season in Singapore and will also fixture in the Emirates Cup.
17-year-old who had also been linked with a move to Manchester United joined the Gunners from Lens.
The highly rated star was born after Wenger started his enduring Arsenal dynasty, with the player’s birth-date tipped as a good omen by Wenger, as 1998 was the year Arsenal wont the Premier League and FA Cup double.
‘You will see Jeff Reine-Adelaide [in pre-season],’ Wenger confirmed.
‘At the moment he plays on the right or left, but I think he can develop as a central midfielder as well.
‘He was born in 1998, which is always a good year for Arsenal – you cannot have bad players in that year!’
“Adelaide is a player I have identified in France,” Wenger told the Arsenal website. “He just won the European Championship with the under-17s.
“He was born in 1998, which is always a good year for Arsenal… you cannot have bad players in that year!
“He’s an offensive player but he can develop into an all-round midfielder as well. At the moment he plays on the right or left but I think he can develop as a central midfielder as well.”
According to L’Equipe and Le Parisien, 17-year-old, is a talented forward prospect and is tipped to be a star of the future.
