Arsenal are on the lookout for world class stars this summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Finally Arsenal will get to sign their long term target Julian Draxler, with his German club Schalke looking to cash in on him according to the Blid.
The 21-year-old creative attacking midfielder who was very close to joining Arsenal when he was 19 is now likely to leave his current club, with Schalke looking to sell him in other to bring in Inter Milan’s winger Xherdan Shaqiri, who previously played in the Bundesliga for rivals Bayern Munich.
Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the midfielder and is closely monitoring the situation according to the metro and a move might be on the cards very soon.
The creative midfielder, has scored 17 goals in 116 league games for Schalke, he can also play from the flank; with Wenger previously admitting he sees him playing as a striker in future, he could easily fill in so many positions at Arsenal.
Draxler at just 21-years-old has already played 23 Champions League games for Schalke and has been capped 15 times by Germany in an era where talents in his positions are in abundance making him one of the hottest prospects in Germany.
The only stumbling block to the deal might be his £28.7m valuation by Schalke, remains to be seen whether Wenger will finally seal the deal for his long time target.
