Arsenal’s reported bid for Real Madrid star striker Karim Benzema has been confirmed and accepted according to reports in Spain.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Arsene Wenger’s long term target Benzema this summer.
News broke recently of a massive Arsenal bid gone in for the 27-year-old forward with a response from Madrid awaited.
Those reports have now been confirmed, with Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri claiming the Gunners have stepped up their pursuit of the France international by submitting an offer of €45million.
Fresh reports claims, Real Madrid are ready to accept the bid so they can spend the cash in signing Marco Reus for a deal believed to be £63m.
However, Rafael Benitez believes the €45million bid for Benzema could act as down payment for Borussia Dortmund man Reus.
