Arsenal have been dealt a massive blow ahead of the summer transfer window after manager Hubert Fournier said Alexandre Lacazette will be part of his plans for next season.
Fournier expects the in-form striker to stay at the club who was top scorer in Ligue 1 last season scoring 27 goals to his name.
When asked about Lacazette future, Fournier said: ‘Olympique Lyonnais.
‘I haven’t got much to say. He has said he wants to stay with us.
‘Of course some clubs are going to be attracted to the sort of player he is but he is under contract at Lyon and with all of the different competitions we have this season with the Champions League and the domestic French cups, we obviously want to keep him at the club.’
Arsenal are keen on landing the sensational striker who is said to cost around €54.8m (£40m).
