Arsenal are on the lookout for world class stars this summer, but will also be looking to lose a few players as well, to free up space and funds going into the transfer window.
According to reports making the round, Arsenal Arsene Wenger could Land AC Milan goalie Marco Amelia this season.
This report is according to Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who claims, Wenger is looking for a possible replacement for pole goalie Wojciech Szceszy. Marzio is a known transfer insider he claims 33-year-old retired international Amelia could make the switch to the Emirates.
Ospina who represented his country at the Copa America this summer is aware of the stiff competition he is likely to face from the veteran goalie Cech; but has declared that he is not going anywhere stating that being at Arsenal is a “dream come true” for him.
Szczesny’s place at Arsenal seem to have slumped further downward, after the £11million signing of Chelsea legend Petr Cech this summer meant that he is now the club’s third choice goalkeeper – behind Cech and David Ospina.
And now Roma are set to give Arsenal – who are spoilt with goalkeeping options, a breather by moving for Szczesny.
It is said that the 25-year-old Pole prefers to stay at the Emirates, but with top class regular football at Roma beckoning, he may take the loan option to get back to top level.
