Arsenal have been giving another reason to complete the signing of high rated defensive midfield star this summer.
According to report emerging from Spain, Arsenal have been backed by Sergi Samper’s father to complete the signing of his son from Barcelona.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the Barcelona youngster lately, with reports claiming the Gunners are ready to match his £8.4million buyout clause.
Barcelona on the other hand, are reluctant to let him go albeit a loan deal.
But the 20-year-old is frustrated at having to play for Barcelona B team and is keen on joining the Gunners this summer, after turning down the north London club back in 2011 when he visited the club’s training ground along with fellow Spaniards Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin.
And now, El Confidencial, claim Samper and his family are now regretting that decision, with the player’s father contacting Arsenal in a bid to revive the Gunners interest this summer.
With the Gunners appearing keen on the signing the young defensive midfielder this summer, and the player now ready to jump ship to Arsenal, it can be said that the transfer would happen faster than expected.
