Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality striker ahead of the new season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best this summer to achieve his target.
Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in the summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
One of such target is Real Madrid star Karim Benzema who has been a long time target of Wenger.
But following reports of the Spanish giants stalling Benzema’s deal after the Gunner’s initial £31.3million offer already gone in, the Gunners are now reportedly lining up another target as an alternative should Benzema’s deal fall through.
This report is according to popular Spanish journalist Kike Marin who claims the Gunners are looking at a ‘secret’ back-up option, which he has now revealed as Bayern Munich’s £44.7million rated forward Robert Lewandowski.
This report is coming after Lewandowski’s agent revealed last month that the player’s next move if he leaves Bayern is likely to be to England.
