Arsenal are on the lookout for world class stars this summer, but will also be looking to lose a few players as well, to free up space and funds going into the transfer window.
Youngster George Dobson has officially joined West Ham United, despite signing professional terms with Arsenal as recently as last November, the Gunners made this announcement via the club’s officially website.
The 17-year-old, who progressed through the club’s Hale End academy, broke into the Arsenal U18 team captaining the side whilst he was still a schoolboy and last season made nine appearances for the U21s in the first year of his scholarship.
Dobson also featured regularly for the club in the under-19 Uefa Youth League and for Steve Gatting’s under-21s last.
The youngster’s transfer to West Ham will come as a shock to many Arsenal fans who had hoped the versatile defender who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, will make it into the senior side in the near future.
