Arsenal’s chance of signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid have been given a great boost after it was reported that Wenger is ready to make a second bid for the striker.
Benzema has been a long term target for the Gunners since his days at Lyon, and has been linked to the Gunners all summer with Arsene Wenger in the hunt for a world class striker this summer.
But his agent had reportedly ruled out a move out of Madrid even amid reports that Madrid are willing to sell, but for the right price.
Arsenal were reported to have had an initial £30.3million bid rejected by Madrid followed by a second offer prepared by the Gunners believed to be around £35.3million.
But fresh reports according to the Metro claim Arsenal are now willing to make an improved bid of £40.5million for the Real Madrid No.9.
The 27 year old striker who had previously rejected Arsenal’s advances over time might now be willing to move following reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could be taking over the lone striker position, and Marco Reus reportedly being tracked by Madrid.
