Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Nacho Monreal was previously linked to leave Arsenal for Athletic Bilbao on a three year deal according to reports.
Despite revealing he wanted to leave the Emirates last month the talented 29-year-old has pen a new deal worth £75,000-a-week.
The 29-year-old star stamped his name in the starting line-up of Arsenal last term after some wonderful performances, which culminated in a goal against Manchester United in the quarter final of the FA Cup.
Though Monreal succeeded in ousting Keiran Gibbs from Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven last season, he however, is close to that forbidden 30-year-old mark at Arsenal.
Monreal arrived at Arsenal from Malaga in 2013, and has gone on to make 61 appearances, scoring one goal and lifting two FA Cup titles.
We at Goonersden Say congratulation to him.
