Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in the summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
The Gunners have added to their plethora of gifted young midfielders after they completed the signing of AC Arles-Avignon’s star Ismael Bennacer.
The midfielder was reportedly set to sign for fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City but opted for a move to Arsenal despite City’s huge contract offer.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder impressed Arsenal scouts while playing for the French U17, prompting a move for him.
The player who is said to be highly creative in nature is expected to join up with the youth team at Arsenal with the hope of a first team place in the future.
The youngster has already made several first team appearances for AC Arles-Avignon in the French Ligue 2 and is tipped to make it to the top of the game.
Arsenal would be required to pay a nominal training fee of £150,000 in compensation to his club.
