Arsenal are set to launch an audacious bid of £35million for Bayern Munich Striker Robert Lewandowski, according to Metro.
It’s no longer news that Arsene Wenger is in search of a World class striker to complete his squad and to launch a serious title bid ahead of the new season –after adding Petr Cech to finally solve his Goalkeeper problems at the club.
The Gunners have been seriously linked with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, with negotiations still on-going despite an initial bid from Arsenal rejected.
But with the deal reportedly dragging and the new season about to begin, the Gunners have now turned their attentions to Robert Lewandowski and would bid £35million to test Bayern’s resolve.
The 26-year-old Polish international forward is a proven goal scorer, with an incredible record of 103 goals in 186 appearances for Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
The report also added that Bayern will likely demand more for the striker who Wenger has admired for a long time, and Arsenal reportedly have enough cash reserve to push the move through.
