Arsenal have been negotiating for the transfer of the Spanish International for a while now, Arsenal initial bid of £30.5million was rejected by the Spanish giant, Arsenal have now tabled a fresh bid of £40.5 million to push the move through and reports suggest the offer has tempted Madrid in selling the clinical finisher.
According to reports making the round, LaLiga expert Graham Hunter says Arsenal can only complete Benzema’s move if he tells the management and manager Rafael Benitez he wants to leave this summer only then will Arsenal be able to complete the move.
Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in the summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Benzenma is said to be number one on Wenger’s transfer wish-list, with the boss also a long time admirer of the striker
Graham Hunter says;
‘Arsenal have the money and Real Madrid need the money – they’re €500m in debt,’ Hunter told talkSPORT.
‘They’re trying to buy David De Gea and won’t go the extra mile to get him off Manchester United because of the cash so they need the money.
‘And because Rafa Benitez will play 4-2-3-1 there is one less place for an attacking player than there was last season.
‘It is a doable deal, but it won’t happen unless Benzema says to Real Madrid: ‘I want to go to Arsenal’.’
