Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality players ahead of next season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
It has been reported that Chelsea are holding talks with Cagliari over the possible transfer of 19-year-old midfielder Godfred Donsah.
The Ghanaian star, who is reportedly among the most exciting young midfield prospects in Europe currently, had been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.
However, recent reports according to the Metro claim the Blues are in talks to sign him, with the move now being confirmed by Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini.
“We had a chat a few weeks ago with Chelsea,” said Giulini.
The president however, revealed his desire to keep the talented youngster saying. “But I am stunned by all these rumours around him. The lad needs to grow up with us.”
Donsah will come relatively cheap, with the young midfielder reportedly valued at around £4.2million and will demand a meager salary.
