Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.

Arsenal could miss out on the signing of long-time Premier League box-to-box midfield star target this summer as rivals have been tipped to complete a move for the player.

Liverpool and Manchester City are currently looking at the possibility of signing French midfielder Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle this summer.

The Reds have remained in the transfer market despite being one of the busiest team in the Premier League this summer, having completed the signing of new stars such as –Christian Benteke, Nathaniel Clyne, Roberto Firmino and James Milner.

Asides Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have also been linked with the 25-year-old midfielder.

However, bookmarkers suggest his next destination will be to either Anfield or the Etihad.

Reports state that the France international was 40/1 to join City last month on BetVictor, with a move to Liverpool put at 20/1.

Those odds however have been heavily slashed with a move to Manchester City now at 4/6 ad a move to Liverpool now at 5/4.

The two clubs would represent a huge upgrade for the midfielder as well as an expected increase in wages.

However, with the clubs set to go head to head to secure his signature, Manchester City might be the more attractive prospect, with the guarantee of Champions League football and a higher pay pack assured.
