Arsenal have welcomed back to their training camp sensational star forward ahead of Sunday’s League clash opener against West Ham.
Alexis Sanchez has returned back to the Arsenal side way ahead of time after he was handed an extra break due to his participation at this year’s Copa America tournament held in his native Chile.
The 26-year-old star played a huge part for his National side as he spear-headed his country’s run to the final which saw Chile beat South American strong-hold Argentina on penalties to win their first ever Copa America title.
However, the former Barcelona star, who scored the winning penalty in the shoot-out leading to Chile’s victory in the final has cut short his holiday and returned to Arsenal’s London Colney base on Thursday, immediately joining his other teammates in training, despite been given until late August to report back at the club.
Sanchez played a major part as the Gunners retained the FA Cup title last term.
With this singular act of him cutting short his well-deserved holiday to return back to the squad, it shows the star forward is ready to drive Arsenal to win major trophies; and he is willing to do so right from the very start of the season.
