Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Arsenal’s latest reported signing has officially confirmed his transfer to Arsenal.
Young French midfield attacking sensation Ismael Bennacer has confirmed his move to Arsenal while speaking to popular French media outlet L’Equipe.
17-year-old Bennacer broke into the first team for Ligue 2 outfit Arles last season and caught the attention of Arsenal scouts with his brilliant displays last season.
“I was a little worried in my head about going abroad,” Bennacer told L’Equipe.
“I have never left home before, I thought about staying in France in order to accumulate game time too.
“Arsenal is the most French of the English clubs.”
“He [Wenger] told me that he was happy for me, that he thought I had the potential to succeed here,” Bennacer said.
“It is up to me to prove myself, they gave me a five-year contract so they must have confidence in me.”
The creative playmaker has also starred for the France under-18’s side and is acknowledged as a young player with a big future in the game
