Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality players ahead of next season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
A fresh report has surfaced saying Arsenal’s long term target Pedro has handed in a transfer request, despite the club’s desire to keep hold of him.
The versatile striker was left out of the starting XI for Barcelona’s Super Cup clash with against Sevilla.
Barcelona director Robert Fernandez confirmed this;
‘The coach and myself and the president want him to stay. He is a player who brings a lot of things, but it has to be him to decide,’ he told Spanish television.
‘Pedro has told me he wants to go.’
Previous reports claims Pedro’s mother confirmed her son is on the verge of penning a deal with Manchester United and the deal will be completed soon.
Wenger had moved for the Spanish International last summer window but a deal was finally called off, shifting his attention to Alexis.
It cannot be said that Pedro has past his best days having been part of the Guardiola team who dominated club football during his time at Barcelona.
