Arsenal Tables £50million Bid In search of A Proven No 9 Star
According to reports making the round, Arsenal had previously explored the possibility of signing Thomas muller and Robert Lewandoski from Bayern Munich this term.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best this summer to achieve his target.
Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” this summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
According to Daily Mail, claims Arsenal were close to signing Bayern Munich duo Thomas muller and Robert Lewandoski in other to strengthen their forward line.
However,the Gunners were turned down that the players were not for sale making them shift their attention to Frenchman Karim Benzema.
The Gunners are believed to be in the market for a proven No 9 to help push for a major title push this term and it is believed Arsenal might fall back to signing either Edinson Cavani or Gonzalo Higuain who according to the Metro the Gunners are seriously keen to sign.
It is also believed that Arsenal plotted a £50million move for the Duo.
