Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality players for a major title push this season.
Good news as 36-year-old Emma Byrne has finally penned a new deal with the Gunners today.
Byrne has been with the Gunner female side for the past 15 years after joining the club from Fortuna Hjorring in the summer of 2000.
The Republic of Ireland international has been exceptional for both club and country, she has a total of 113 appearances for her country and has 11 league titles, nine FA Cups and has also won the UEFA Women’s Cup.
Ladies manager Pedro Martinez Losa said: “Emma Byrne is a key player for our team and we are delighted she have decided to commit her future to the club. She brings fantastic experience and a winning mentality to the squad and it is important for us to keep players of her quality.”
