The Gunner’s were heavily link with a move over the summer to sign Edison Cavani from Paris Saint Germain but the deal got stale with both parties failing to come to an agreement.
Edison Cavani has insisted that he has never actively push for a move away from PSG over the summer, despite series of speculation linking him away to the Emirates.
Arsenal are seriously in search for a clinical finisher and were keen on signing Cavani and fresh reports claims the Gunners are still interested in signing the 28-year-old.
According to reports, Cavani talked about his exit from the club he added “In football, there are a lot of things that depend not on the footballer but on the club,” Cavani told RMC.” Often when a player decides to change clubs it’s not solely his choice. It’s a decision made in agreement with the club, which seeks the best solution for both parties.”
This means Cavani could make the switch in January but it solely depends on PSG to make this happen.
The fierce looking Uruguay International joined the French Champions in the summer of 2013 and has found the back of the net 64 times in 106 games for his side since his arrival.
Cavani, however, has found the back of the net eight times in ten appearances this season for PSG no wonder is he is linked to top clubs around Europe and England.
