Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Andriy Yarmolenko was heavily linked to joining Arsenal and there were claims that Wenger had placed a personal phone call to Yarmolenko over the summer but the deal got stale as both club failed to reach an agreement.
According to Fichajes, the Dynamo Kyiv man could make the switch to the Emirates in winter as they report Arsenal are close to reaching an agreement which will see the 25-year-old make the switch.
However, it is reported that Barcelona are also interested in signing him as a replacement for Pedro who made the switch to the Emirates over the summer but Bacar have now shifted the attention to sign Celta Vigo forward Nolito, paving the way for Arsenal to get his signature.
Yarmolenko has been brilliant this season he has helped his team to top the league scoring three goals in nine games and also finding the back of the net in his side’s Champions League opener against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the group stage.
He is a true prolific goal scorer, Yarmolenko has found the back of the net 114 goals in 314 appearances for Dynamo Kyiv.
