Following last weekend premier league draw against Everton and Liverpool the result ended the dismissal of manager Brendan Rodgers.
And Arsenal Target Jurgen Klopp has emerged as a front-runner for the vacant position at Anfield.
Borussia Dortmund star İlkay Gündoğan believes Klopp will make an excellent coach in Liverpool rather than Arsenal; klopp was linked to take over the helms of affairs from Arsene Wenger when he was asked to retire by celebrity Gunner fan Piers Morgan.
“ I’ve not had that much contact with him recently and I’ve not followed much of what he has said, but I think Klopp would be a great fit at many clubs and I believe also at Liverpool,”
The 24-year-old added: “Of course it’s something I can see happening. I think Klopp is capable of helping many Top Clubs in the world.”
Former Dortmund player Karl-Heinz also backed Klopp making the switch to Anfield rather than the Emirates.
“I would be very glad if he got the job at Liverpool because I think he is a very good coach.”
However, Wenger has also revealed he is sad due to Liverpool’s management to sack Rodgers.
Wenger was asked about Rodger’s exit from Liverpool after his own side impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United and he has this to say.
“ I am always sad when this happens because I think Rodgers is a quality manager,”
Other tabloid are reporting klopp have already accepted and signed a 3-year deal with Liverpool according to Daily Star.
