The Gunners have been handed a major boost ahead of their next Champions League clash against Bayern Munich .
Star Player Mario Gotze has been ruled out for 10-12 weeks due to injury he sustained during the first half of their Euro 2016 qualifier in Dublin.
This means Gotze will be missing out in both the home and away games of the Champions League group game against Arsenal.
Bayern said: ‘The 23-year-old was diagnosed on Friday with a ruptured muscle tendon in the groin.’
Gotze is now being treated by the national side’s medical team in Leipzig.
‘It’s annoying for us and a real shame for him,’ said Germany boss Joachim Low.
‘We wish him a good and speedy recovery. I am sure that he will be able to pick up his form again once he returns.’
The Gunners are yet to get a single point from their group stage qualifier losing first game to Dinamo Zagreb and then 3-2 to Greek Champions.
