Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Valencia’s forward Paco Alcacer who is also a target for Arsenal.
The Sun claims that Chelsea scouts were at Valencia’s 3 – 0 win over Getafe on Saturday night to watch the striker and are keen to bring the forward man to West London as the Blues aim to bolster their attacking options.
It is claimed that the Spanish striker will cost the Blues about £50million (Figure according to ESPN). The striker has been prolific for the Spain national team scoring 6 goals in 10 appearances so far.
Chelsea are looking to beat Arsenal to his signature in January and will negotiate a move for the player through super-agent Jorge Mendes who is the Striker’s agent as well as Jose Mourinho’s agent.
Alcacer is seen by Jose Mourinho as the man to provide adequate competition and cover for Diego Costa as both Remy and Falcao have failed to impress this season.
The striker is regarded as one of La Liga’s best prospect which is why Arsenal have registered an interest for him.
Alcacer broke into Valencia’s senior team last season scoring 11 goals in the course of the season.
