Arsenal’s delve in the upcoming transfer window seems to be taking a rather speedy fashion as there are reports that the Gunners are set to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
The reports claims Arsenal will sweep in for the clinical finisher in the winter window after last weekend’s disappointing draw against fellow north London rivals Spurs.
The reports suggest Arsenal are ready to meet PSG’s asking price for the star; with the former Napoli man being valued at around £45million, which he was bought for in the summer of 2013.
The move could give betting punters the nudge to back Arsenal as serious title contenders, with the Gunners usually running out of steam around January time in recent years.
However, Arsenal scout Brian McDermott has suggested Arsene Wenger won’t make any super signings this winter but that seems to be untrue following his staments:
“The manager won’t spend unless he thinks it’s absolutely necessary,” he said.
“The scouting structure at Arsenal is phenomenal. We all know who the top strikers in the world are.
