The International break could not have come at a better time for the Gunners according to manager Arsene Wenger.
According to the manager the international break has come at the right time considering the injury crisis in the team.
“[Against Tottenham] We had restricted options on the bench because of injuries and that makes the game difficult” Wenger said after the game against Tottenham where they played a one all draw, with Gibbs having to come on as a winger due to the limited options.
The Gunner are without 10 players, leaving them with a paper thin squad and the manager hopes the international break will see some injured players return, and no fit player will be lost during the international break.
“I am delighted because we gain two weeks’ treatment for the 10 players who are not available at the moment, and I hope that after these two weeks we do not lose more, and get some back”
With the likes of Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Chamberlain among the 10 injured players, we now see why a timely intervention and a quick recovery will put the Gunners firmly on track for their title push.
