Arsenal and a host of clubs have been put on high alert after reports emerged that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for their Belgian Wonder-kid, Charly Mosunda.
The Zambian born Belgian youth international is regarded as one of the best young players in Europe and has been the subject of interests from many quarters with AS Monaco seriously tracking him and offering him guaranteed first team football.
But during the summer, reports had it that Arsenal made a bid for him which was rejected by Chelsea, with Monaco also making an offer that was rejected, and the youngster proceeded to sign a new four-year deal with Chelsea.
However, his lack of first team chances has prompted his father to openly state that he wants his son to leave the club “He must absolutely leave Chelsea and, since January, Monaco have been trying to sign him, Monaco are not alone but they truly want him”
“Chelsea don’t want him [to go back to Belgium]. They want Charly to play in a good team in a big league. He must play first team. He progresses everyday but he must develop further” his father told La Derinere Heure.
A technically gifted player by nature who needs more work on the physical side of his game, Charly Mosunda has ignited Arsenal’s interest, and with reports coming out that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers, -most likely because of his father’s comments- Arsenal are set to make a January swoop for him, though they face competition from Manchester City and AS Monaco.
