Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of the January transfer window.
The Gunners have scouted Vincent Koziello ahead of a January transfer, according to reports.
The Gunners sent a representative to watch the Nice star in action on Friday against Lyon; in a game the midfielder scored and gave an all-round performance in Nice’s 3-0 win against Olympique Lyonnais. Premier League side Chelsea and German team Bayern Leverkusen are interested in the player.
The 20 year s old made his debut over a year ago and has kept impressing; he has forced his way into the France under- 19 and under-20 squads. Koziello is being compared to Real Madrid’s Luka Modric due to similarities in their playing pattern.
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are currently short of option in the midfield position with injuries to Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, Thomas Rosicky and Francis Couquelin; who picked up a knock in the Gunners 2-1 loss to Tony Pulis tutored side, West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Couquelin is expected to be out for at least the rest of 2015 according to reports.
Koziello would be integrated straight into the first team set up at the Emirates because of the long injury list and lack of match fitness for some of the players that might have returned during the January transfer window
