Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal face a transfer battle with fellow Premier league sides for the transfer of Lyon scoring machine; Alexandre Lacazette.
Two other Premier league sides from London are also interested in the player’s signature with Chelsea and Tottenham keen to add the player to their ranks.
Lacazette, 24 years of age scored 31 in 38 appearances for Olympique Lyon last season thereby sparking numerous interest from top teams for his signature. The player is contracted to Olympique Lyon till 2019 and should cost around £40 Million to get Olympique Lyon to do cash in on their prized asset.
Arsenal only has French man, Oliver Giroud as their only fit and available striker, with Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck both out injured. Thanks to Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil who have both been contributing to the team by helping share the goal burden.
Spurs also have interest in the Lyon hit man, Harry Kane seem to be saddled with the burden of getting the goals for the White Hart Lane men and their season could come to a halt if he eventually picks up a serious injury, Spurs season may come to an halt.
Chelsea on the other ground had Diego Costa scoring freely last season, but the Spaniard has been struggling to replicate last season form due to deep in form and series of injuries. The blues do need another attacker to support Costa and Lacazette fits the bill.
It all boils down to who could stump up the required fee to get Lyon to do business, as they won’t mind cashing in on their most prized possession if the price is right.
