Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger has met with Corinthians director of football to discuss a potential transfer deal for Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato.
The Gunners are likely to be active after getting caught up in yet another injury crisis. Theo Walcott, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlin, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky, Francis Coquelin, Lauren Koscieny and Alexis Sanchez are all out injured
It appears that a move for Pato to the Emirates stadium could be on the cards after Wenger met and discussed with his former charge Edu Gasper, who now works as Corinthians director of football.
Pato is a very potent and technically gifted attacker, he showed his qualities while at AC Milan, but consistent injuries meant he had to leave Serie A for his home land. Now 26 years of age, the Brazilian is approaching his peak period and would be a good addition to the Gunners squad.
Pato joined Brazilian side Corinthians from AC Milan for £12.18 Million and scored with his first touch, the Brazilian is quick, agile and creative with excellent technical ability. He was considered as one of the World’s most promising young footballing stars in his youth.
It is yet to be known if the Brazilian could resurrect his career in Europe with the Gunners, as the English Premier League is one of the toughest leagues to play in and Pato’s consistent injuries may be his short comings.
