Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club
linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that his club tried to sign Former Juventus star Kingsley Coman while he was at PSG.
The 19 year old moved to the Bundesliga champions last summer and he is having a wonderful season at Bayern Munich. He is currently one of the Bravarians stand out players this term.
However, the gunners boss has revealed that he was close to bringing the French man to the Emirates before the player opted for a move to Juventus.
After spending just one season with the old ladies, Coman moved to Bayern Munich on a two year loan deal.
‘Yes we really tried to sign Kingsley Coman in the summer of 2014,’ he said.
‘The transfer was almost completed, but he preferred to move to Juventus.’
Coman has four goals and seven assists in all competitions for Bayern Munich this term.
His performances for Pep Guardiola’s side earned him a call up to the France squad that faced Germany and England last month.
Juventus have an option to sign the player on a permanent deal in 2016 for £16million after paying £5million to take him on a 2 year loan.
