Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla could be out of action until March, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The Spanish international suffered a knee injury in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City last weekend.
The midfielder finished the game on one leg and couldn’t be withdrawn as the Gunner’s had already made all their substitutions.
An early diagnosis revealed that the midfielder is set to be out for three months during a rehabilitation period but the seriousness of the injury may cause the Spanish international to spend up to four months on the sideline.
“Cazorla [seeing a specialist] possibly out until March.” Confirmed Wenger.
Cazorla is expected to see a specialist in order to diagnose the severity of his injury.
Arsenal are becoming very thing in midfield with Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez and now Santi Cazorla all out with long term injuries.
The Gunners have a crunch Champions league match coming up in the next few weeks and the current injury crisis will be a source of worry to Wenger.
