Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal are following the development of Porto midfielder Ruben Neves according to reports.
The Gunners sent Luis Boa Morte to watch the central midfielder in action according to O Jogo via Squawka.
Boa Morte was present at Porto’s game with Uniao de Madeira. The Gunners former player was in attendance to specifically watch the Portuguese international in action.
The Gunners are currently thin in central midfield position. Francis Coquelin suffered a knee injury against West Brom and the French man has been ruled out of action until February next year.
Santi carzola also suffered a knee injury against Norwich a week after Coquelin’s injury. Although the Spaniard finished the game against the Canaries but he has been ruled out of action until March.
With Arsene wenger missing his first team central midfield pairing, the Gunners are looking at the Possibility of bringing in a central midfielder.
Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in the midfielder. The Blues are reportedly looking for a central midfielder due to the current form of Cesc Fabregas.
The 18 year old has recently stated that he is keen to remain in Portugal as he is focused in winning titles with the Portuguese giants.
Neves is currently the youngest Captain in the Champions league history after he led his team out against Maccaibi Tel Aviv. He is also the youngest Porto player to reach the 50 game mark for the club.
