Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of the January transfer window.
Liverpool are keen on challenging Arsenal for the services of highly rated Leicester City left back; Ben Chilwell next year as per Telegraph.
Chilwell is regarded as one of English football’s brightest talents, currently on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town from the Foxes.
The 18 years old was watched from the stands by the chief scout of both Liverpool and Arsenal in Huddersfield 2-0 victory over Birmingham City on Saturday, says the Telegraph.
The Telegraph reports that Arsenal’s Steve Rowley and Liverpool’s Barry Hunter were on ground to pay close attention to Chilwell as Huddersfield moved out of the bottom three.
Chilwell has reportedly been on Arsenal and Manchester United’s radar even before he completed a loan move to Huddersfield in November, per the Daily Mail.
The Gunners still retain interest in signing the youngster despite an initial bid being knocked back, but they could face stiff competition from Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
He was handed his Leicester City senior debut by Boss Claudio Ranieri in the Foxes 5-4 penalty shootout loss to Hull City in the Capital one cup in October and would be eyeing a place in the first team at the expiration of his loan deal with Huddersfield Town.
