Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal are in talks to sign Nigerian youth striker Victor Osimhen after hijacking his move to Tottenham, according to reports.
Osimhen is a hot property after scoring 10 goals in seven matches to fire Nigeria to victory in the recently concluded U17 World Cup in Chile.
The striker who is a product of Ultimate Strikers Academy is now facing a two way battle to either join Arsenal or North London Rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. The Metro reports that nine major European clubs have since made approaches for his signature, while Tottenham had apparently agreed a deal to sign him.
It is claimed that Arsenal Head coach, Arsene Wenger is holding talks with the head of the Nigerian Football Federation Amaju Pinnick about a transfer while Spurs are holding talks with Osimhen club; Ultimate Strikers Academy.
Whichever club that ends up in snapping the player between Arsenal and Tottenham; the Nigerian would sure be in safe hands. Tottenham seems to have a solid youth set up that has produced the likes of Harry Kane, who happens to be one of the best attackers in the Premier League, Eric Dier, Ryan Mason etc. and they have all broken into the Spurs first team and Three Lions while the Gunners are known to give the youth players opportunity to show their capabilities in cup competitions like the Capital one cup.
