Former Real Madrid Star Mesut Ozil has been surrounded with rumours of a move away to his former club in January.
Ozil joined the Gunner in 2013 for a club record fee of £42m has been remarkable for the Gunners this season with two goals 13 assist in 15 Premier League games.
Recently he was asked by German magazine Kicker if he would consider a return to his home country, Ozil would not rule out the possibility but made it clear he plans to remain at Arsenal for the next three years.
“I can never say I will return,” Ozil told Kicker. “I have beautiful memories of home, but I’m with Arsenal until at least 2018.
“Wenger has always backed me strongly. He’s always there for me. “I’d like to say so far, this is my strongest season for Arsenal, but no. This is the strongest season so far in my career.”
Ozil is yet to pen a new deal with the Gunners but hopefully he would be able to extend his contract at the Emirates in coming days.
