Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal are preparing to raid Stade de Reims in January, according to reports.
The Gunners are in search of a right back and Arsene Wenger has identified Stade de Reims fullback Aissa Mandi as a potential January target, according to the Metro.
The report claims Arsenal are set to table a bid for the defender in January and despite the French club indicating they will love to keep the 24 year old, Arsenal are set to test the club’s resolve in keeping the defender.
The report also claims Arsene Wenger had deployed scouts to watch the 24 year old in action on several occasions and Wenger has been impressed by reports from his scouting department.
The Gunners are reportedly in search of a fullback after Mathieu Debuchy revealed that he could leave the North London club in January in search of first team football.
Hector Belerin has nailed down the right back spot and the Gunners are set to look for a capable back up to the 20 year old should Debuchy leave the club in January.
Aissa Mandi is a product of Reims academy and made his first team debut for the French club in 2009, he has made 138 appearances for the Ligue 1 club since his debut and has scored 10 goals from his right back position.
