Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
This reports is according to the Daily Mail, they claim Arsenal are currently keeping tabs on Mohamed Elneny of FC Basel for a possible move in January, the reports also claims he will fly to Paris to undergo Arsenal medicals today ahead of signing his four-and-a-half-year contract on Wednesday.
However, the Gunners have been linked with an array stars to fill in for injured Francis Coquelin and Santiago Cazolar players like Victor Wanyama from Southampton and Sporting Club’s William Carvalho.
It is believed Arsenal are keen on completing the deal as Elneny comes cheaper with a fee of around £7.4 million.
Elneny has been impressive this season for FC Basel in their Europa League matches this term scoring two goals in five games so far.
