Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
According to reports making the round, Arsenal have returned for one Arsene Wenger’s long term target.
The 23-year-old moved from Marseille in the summer to Porto and a £18.5m price tag has been slapped on him for any club interested in snatching him up in winter.
Porto defensive midfielder Giannelli Imbula, has been wanted by Arsene Wenger as he has being under the radar of Chelsea, Inter Milan and Arsenal last term.
However, Fresh reports have emerged claiming Imbula has failed to settle in Portugal and could be on his way once again when the window opens.
This has put Arsenal on red alert as they are seriously looking for quality players to fill in for injured Francis Coquelin who has been ruled until March next year.
