Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of
the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Arsenal is set to complete the £7 Million signing of Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny from Basle this, according to reports. The deal is set to be completed by next week before the Egyptian is set to complete his move to the Emirates.
Elneny represent such a gamble as he is 23 and he is less cheap but he has potential to improve under Arsene Wenger. Gunners signed only Petr Cech from Chelsea in the summer for £ 10 Million and the team is currently suffering due to the high injury list the team is currently facing; as Jack Wilshere, Santi Carzola, Tomas Rosicky, Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta are all injured and the midfield section is suffering for it.
The Gunners are tracking Southampton defensive Midfielder; Victor Wanyama but he looks a likely prospect for the summer rather than in the January transfer window, same with Sporting Lisbon defensive stalwart; William Carvalho and Porto’s Ruben Neves, who all look likely to remain with their sides till the summer.
Elneny is the only likely player of the bunch that could make a switch in January and so the Gunners would seal a deal for the youngster in January to help deputise in the defensive midfield while the team aim to stay in the title race.
